A large black spot has invaded the Lambro river that flows near Milan. Tonnes of oil have been dumped by unknown waters of this tributary of the Po, the largest Italian river. What are the consequences for the environment? A strange story comes from one of the richest and most polluted in the Bel Paese.

Per fortuna l’emergenza immediata sembra rientrata, grazie agli interventi di Protezione civile, vigili del fuoco ed esercito: «Il grosso dovrebbe essere stato filtrato – dice un responsabile dei lavori di bonifica sul Po della Protezione civile – al momento non stanno arrivando grandi macchie».
