The effect of DL 663/1979 (Law 33/1980), the worker shall within two days of release, deliver or transmit to the employer, by registered mail with return receipt, the proof of the disease, issued by the attending physician, the employer , unless the latter requires INPS transmission of such statements electronically in a manner determined by the same Institute.
If the doctor sends the certificate using computer tools, the employer is able to retrieve the document through two ways:
1. INPS accessing the site following accreditation and issuance of a PIN
2. activating the certified mail
